Our story
Silicon Stack began when Luan Tran was asked to develop a vehicle trading platform for Australia and International market for a major player in the automotive industry. Even with his 16 years of experience, it was a big challenge.
Having long held ambitions to start his own venture, Luan saw this as his opportunity to take the leap. In 2016, he shook hands on the project and built his first team of developers that would mark the beginning of Silicon Stack in Australia.
The business now has a team of 200+ developers, business analysts, quality assurance experts, project managers and strategists across offices in Australia, Vietnam and India.
As the leader of the organisation, Luan Tran has two decades of experience as a developer, manager and strategist in the technology, software and cloud-computing industries.
Having held technical and leadership roles in the automotive and agriculture industry, Luan has designed and delivered several large-scale national and international software applications including accounting, finance, e-commerce, analytics and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Luan led the team responsible for building Australia’s second and third largest dealer management systems and expanding them globally. He has worked with leading brands like John Deere, Hyundai, BMW, Toyota, General Motors – Holden, Ford, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Mahindra, Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Sensis, Eagers Automotive, Pentana, Manheim, Whirlpool, Coca-Cola and many more.
Luan is an evangelist for the power of innovative technology to build businesses, and is passionate about user experience, analytics, big data, mobile and connected technologies. He is fluent in English, Vietnamese and Chinese (Cantonese).
